I have been very happy these days. Not because I am always happy, but I try to walk with God. I want to tell you something. God doesn’t deal with myth. He doesn’t deal with superstitious. Why i tell you this? This is the reason. If you follow my twitter, you might know that I have been very spiritual this week. Nope! I am not saying that I become a spiritual person. I am saying about giving thanks. I try to give thanks to everything that happens in my life. I give thanks for my job. I give thanks for a new day. I give thanks for the food. They are very simple things to thanks for. What I got? I got joy. You might believe, and you might not believe. But I got JOY.Yesterday, I was really happy. From the morning till the dawn, I always happy. I also do not know why. My mom once told me that I should not laugh too much, because it will ended up crying at night. I do not know about this but I believe it. So, I always afraid to be happy too much in the afternoon to prevent myself crying alone at night. Well, I am alone now, with no family here in new island so no one will accompany me physically when I cry.

Yesterday, I laughed. I spent my whole day laughing. Excuse me, I was not crazy, I was just being thankful for every little things, remember? So I laughed with my colleague, I laughed with my manager, I laughed with my brother and sister in God, I had so much great time with them all. Then I took time to think. “What if I cry tonight because I am overwhelmed with this joy?”, “People become very sensitive of sorrow when they spend too much time laughing”, etc. Then I feel like God speak to me, “Try me”.

I read Psalm 37 and I was reminded about how I live. This verses state directly and briefly about how we live in this world. I want to share several things I got when I read this.

Psalm 37:1
Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.

This is just the beginning and it really gets me in my heart. It is said “Do not fret nor be envious”. I have a very up and down emotional control. I sometimes mad and I can not let someone do evil in front of me. I will stand for something and I will say everything that comes up on my mind without thinking twice. I judge and I get so mad to them too. I always ignore someone who is trying to cool me down. Why? Because I have my own opinion that wrong people should be corrected. I just think that they must know the right so that they will be on the right track. This is what I want. And the bad result which always happen is I fall into an argument and fight with others. Then I just think madly “huh! It is difficult to be a right person”

Consider this case …

Johnny is a worker in this huge company.
It is hard to describe his job apart from the word “Just a simple office worker”
Documenting stuffs, getting tasks from the higher management, getting yelled at, let alone getting punishment for something he should not get.

However, Johnny is a good fellow.
He does not a blackened heart.
He knows that each task makes him learn.
He knows that each yell makes him get new understandings.
He knows that one should behave positively against all odds.
That is him.

He also knows that he is just a simple worker.
However, he wants to do an extraordinary things.

Now I will sing for the one I love
a song about his vineyard:
My beloved had a vineyard
on a rich and fertile hill.
He plowed the land, cleared its stones,
and planted it with the best vines.
In the middle he built a watchtower
and carved a winepress in the nearby rocks.
Then he waited for a harvest of sweet grapes,
but the grapes that grew were bitter.

The above verses are taken from the book of Isaiah chapter 5 (New Living Translation) and they tell us about somebody who has made every efforts in order to get the best wine from his vineyard. First, it is told that the vineyard was built on a rich and fertile land which he has plowed and cleared from stones. It means that the owner has chosen the best possible place for his vineyard. Second, it is told that the owner has planted it with the best vines. It means that the owner has provided the vineyard with the best possible vine, which is in Hebrew called as ‘Sorek’. It is the grapes that had scarcely perceptible seeds. Third, it is told that the owner has built a watchtower in the middle of the vineyard. It means that the vineyard is well protected, provided with guards to watch the vineyard against the depredations of man or beast. Fourth, it is told that the owner has carved a winepress in the nearby rocks. It means that the owner has provided the vineyard with the facilities to produce the best wine. Based on what the owner has done to his vineyard, it is very understandable why he looked forward for a harvest of sweet grapes. But it is told in the end that the grapes were bitter instead of the fact the owner has done everything he could possibly do to get the best out of his vineyard.Every businessman who started any business would likely to expect to get profit from his business. Every parent who raised children would likely to expect to have obedient children. Every farmer who planted his field would likely to expect to have plentiful harvest. Can you feel the heartache of the vineyard owner after knowing that the vineyard produced bitter grapes?
